Let me know your thoughts
In the opening scene from The Joker Emma tosses a vase through the frosted glass partition to gain entry to tend to a wounded Steed. So far so good.
I have always been interested in just how that glass "shatters" & in what sort of a pattern. It is logical - in fact virtually certain that the crew pre - cut the impact area so the vase came flying through successfully in one take. So I slowed down the few seconds here & enlarged the images, attempting to determine if one could see a border where the glass was to give way. And I can't see it. Not a hint. Not a trace.
So wondering how that could be I think I have come up with the answer. The weakening/cutting of the partition glass was done on the other side, the side where Emma is standing.
Invisible to my old eyes but it's been jimmied without a doubt.
Do you agree?
And yes...I've got way too much time on my hands!!

It was probably prop sugar glass for the shot and real glass most of the rest of the time
