Hi,
Does anyone konw what fonts were used to make the various title cards during the original production run?
I know there is a version of the 65 font available via the fantastic "Avengers Forever" website, but I was wondering if the other fonts used are also available?
Thanks
Steve

I'm sorry but HotSnow is incorrect - the actual font used for the colour Rigg and Thorson seasons is Compacta.Mr Teddy Bear wrote:Hi,

I understood that the OP and hotsnow were referring to the Keel/Gale episodes.

The Bureau Grotesque family is a good modern match, but it wasn't created unti l1989 at the earliest. You need to look back at Foundry refrences from 1959-60 to work it out.
Mrs Peel, you're needed!

Re: The Avengers fonts
They use the same font as 1963-65 Doctor Who. Which is Grotesque One Three.Dandy Forsdyke wrote: I understood that the OP and hotsnow were referring to the Keel/Gale episodes.

Clayton Hickman, who did the font analysis blog, is very active on Twitter, you should be able to ask him there. https://twitter.com/claytonhickman?lang=en
