Emma Peel Makes the List

Post by Dfrise »

The current issue of Entertainment Weekly, a loopy American magazine, has a story titled "25 Best TV Spies Of All Time." Emma Peel came in 6th place. There is no mention of John Steed. Only Entertainment Weekly can explain this. It calls her "intimidatingly intelligent."

Number 1 was Sydney Bristow of Alias. At Number 16 was Napoleon Solo, with no mention of Illya Kyuriakin. The list did find room at Number 19 for a show from 1970 called Lancelot Link. It was a live action spy show with a cast made up entirely of chimpanzees. It lasted one year.

Number Six on the list, but no John Drake - or even John Steed? Rubbish list.

I see James Bond didn't make it! (Yes, he was on telly.)

about 1/3 of the shows are current day. Wonder if they will still be popular in 40 years.
