John Carson RIP

Post by mariocki »

Sad news that John, who made four appearances in the show, passed away yesterday in South Africa. He was a great actor with a very long list of credits and a very entertaining guest at the Avengers 50th celebration at Chichester.

A very sad loss.

Very sad news. He was a very accomplished actor with a beautifully smooth voice. I think his most memorable Avengers performance was as Fitch - Mrs Peel"s potential nemesis in Dial A Deadly Number. I last watched John in the excellent thriller The Man Who Haunted Himself opposite Roger Moore.

One of my favourite guest actors - he was superb in all his episodes but i especially love him as Halvarssen in Second Sight.

A true character actor!

Very sad news, my favourite John Carson roles were in the Hammer film Plague of the Zombies and the Doctor Who story Snakedance.

Loved him as Fitch, one of the creepiest henchmen on the show. Can anyone list the other TA episodes he appeared in? RIP to a most memorable character actor.

He was wonderful as Fitch, who is both a henchman and a diabolical mastermind. He is also fantastic as John Gilsen in the titular role in the MIAS episode Dead Man's Shoes. He used to own a property near us in France and people there said that he was an absolute gentleman. RIP.
