Ah, so many great performances in so many great series.

That wonderful rich voice!

He was someone I always hoped to randomly bump into and talk to as I'm sure he had some great stories.

RIP Peter.

Sad news. He brought sheer character to the screen with his performances.

Very sad news. Peter was a wonderful charismatic actor of immense power, style and panache.
He was arguably the best guest-star actor ever to appear in The Avengers: A Touch of Brimstone and Epic.
His Honourable John Cleverly Cartney opposite Diana Rigg's Queen of Sin was unforgettable.
RIP Peter Wyngarde

I was sad to hear this today. He brought a touch of class to his 2 Avengers episodes. I'm really hoping ITV4 repeat Dept S and Jason King again soon. RIP.

Such a fabulous talent. I plan on watching his two Avengers appearances and I think I'll give "Night of The Eagle" (US title Burn Witch Burn) a watch as well.

The Estate of Peter Wyngarde at auction.

Post by Ian Wegg »

Peter Wyngarde's personal possessions are coming up for sale next Thursday (26th March) at East Bristol Auctions The Estate of Peter Wyngarde

A total of 257 lots, nothing much identified as Avengers related but Lot 42 from an "unidentified production" might bear closer examination.
