Closing time is 9am, GMT on 8 November 2021 so get your skates on! (Time has been extended!!)

There will be a change of schedule this year as the 60th anniversary banner changes will happen for the period 9-30 December 2021, in the middle of the winning entry's display period. So that they get a week each, the "Christmas banner" will be removed on 9 December and not reappear until 6 January 2022. - Forum members, we are open to your suggestions on revising this time table.

Every entry that keeps to the rules will be part of the poll in which all forum members will get to decide which banner will be the winner.

Please read the rules, so your work is eligible.

Rules for the competition:

*The banner design should be Christmas themed as well as Avengers themed, but should not include overt religious elements.
*It must feature the words "THE AVENGERS" and "INTERNATIONAL FAN FORUM".
*Size MUST be 797x180 as per the current banner.
*Transparency is perfectly okay.
*Accepted file formats are: JPG, PNG, GIF.
(Ensure JPG files are high quality to avoid artifacts.)
*Animated GIFs are allowed, but if the words "THE AVENGERS" and "INTERNATIONAL FAN FORUM" appear later, the image may not loop. Make sure the file size does not exceed 1MB. We will mercilessly recompress any we judge to be too large.
* Please note that those who have submitted animations may have their work altered if the forum software requires it.

*As many entries as you want, go crazy!
*Normal moderation rules will apply to all entries.
*Entries must be sent to [email protected]. (Please include your user name in the mail.)
*Any entries that are posted on the forum will be disqualified, as for the sake of fairness, all banners should be introduced at the same moment.
*Makers should not reveal which banner(s) they made.
*Blatantly recycling someone else's entry from last year will also lead to disqualification but you may revisit themes of your own.
*Banner featured: November 15th until January 31st, events permitting.

By entering this competition you automatically agree that your entry can be used by this forum.

(These rules are not meant to stifle your creativity, but to make sure that all entries can be used.)

Schedule:
Competition opens: NOW
Last date for entries: EXTENDED TO 8 NOVEMBER at 9AM GMT
Poll opens: 8 November
Poll closes: 15 November (but vote by 14 November because my time zone plays merry hell with the closure dates)
Banner is shown: 15 November-8 December, and 6-31 January
Please feel free to ask us any questions or for our help and good luck!

I must get my bottom in gear and actually do one this year! The hardest bit is inspiration.

I wish we could collaborate and bounce ideas off each other. I've been working really hard and haven't given it enough thought! Inspiration is difficult.

Well, yes, I could extend the deadline. Let's make it Monday morning so people potentially have the weekend to knock something together.
