Who was steed's best partner.
My favourite was the unique mrs emma peel. Who had class, beauty, and could certainly look after herself, in most situations.

I have to go for Emma, too--she clicks with Steed so well that, even when the episode itself is a bit lacklustre, you want to watch just for the sheer joy of listening to their banter, and interpreting all the exchanged glances. Plus, Emma was able to be brilliant and capable, and could handle herself in a fight, and did it all without having to act like a man to be taken seriously. Oh, and she had a great wardrobe. 
But, this being me, I have to sneak in that Emma is followed very, very closely by Gambit not just for his sparky and slightly bittersweet relationship with Purdey and a nice streak of humanity, but for demonstrating that it can be just as fun watching Steed partnered with a guy.

This is why I voted for the highly underrated Mike Gambit in the previous Forum's poll.
