I also like the Piggy Waren scene, it show, that Steed is real secret agent under all his dandy stuff and that he is dangeraus.

And after all that scene with emma and steed in his room before he get be a pussy foot. It show they tender rapport I love it. I think for me, that emma didn´t go to bet so early

They are bookmakers in the UK, they take bets from "punters" (gamblers) on horse racing and the like. I imagine it was a humorous take on Emma not "going to bets" (bed) :)

thx for explanation, now I understand.

Yes, it could be late that night. I must confess that Diana Rigg and Patrik Macnee are really good actors :D because they give Emma and John that great scenes

Emma says, I believe: "I will have to take some reefs (?) in my bedsheets tonight." She's referring to the draft blowing through her room, and reefs are something to do with sailing, actual sails, I believe. Steed follows up with: "We must make sacrifices, my dear. Back to nature." Emma's response: "Well, I wish you'd told me. I'd have packed my pot of woad." Woad is a type of blue body paint, often worn (withn nothing else) by the Scots when going into battle. So Emma figures if they're getting back to basics, she may as well go the whole nine yards.

I wouldn't worry about missing those lines. I know I didn't have any idea what she said for years, and it took a thread awhile back to explain just what it all meant. Hope that helps. :D

We need one of those posters: "All I ever needed to know, I learned from the Avengers. Rule one: Always keep your bowler on in times of stress..."
