Sounds great! :D
I hope, my time planer gives me some time to go to a comic shop here. ;)

That's great. Unfortunately, I wont be able to pick up a copy from a shop this week, so I've bought a copy via mail order. Hopefully I wont take too long to arrive!

I see that the covers for the November issue have been released:

Cool! That cover looks interesting...
But Steed looks on the 2nd cover a bit creepy.
And I would say, that he doesn't looks like Steed at all...

I've noticed on all the covers and alternate covers that we've seen so far, Steed and Emma don't look as though they are a team at all. Steed is either in the shadows or partially coloured. Here he isn't even completely drawn and is just an outline. It's like they begrudge even including him on the covers. Big mistake.

As much as I love her, The Avengers ain't all about Emma Peel.

I miss Ian Duerden's comics. I could always recognise the likenesses!

There is an Emma bias, although I'm not particularly surprised by it--most of the people who do the covers are probably Emma fans, and more keen to draw her than Steed. There might also be a conscious effort to highlight Emma because it's more likely that people who haven't seen the show in years, and only vaguely remember it, will recall Emma more than Steed. It's all down to marketing, really.

I guess it doesn't worry me too much because the people who do the covers have nothing to do with the actual content of the book. If I can count the number of appearances by Steed in each issue on one hand, then I'll get annoyed.

Issue #0 arrived today. A pretty decent stab at trying to capture the style of the Emma Peel colour series in a comic book.
The characters don't look much like the actors but that may be a licencing thing more than anything.

Got my copy too, obviously Mark Waid loves the series.....he even included a "Mrs Peel, we're needed" scene.

It's a very good start to the series and I'm looking forward to seeing more. Some dialogue slips but the story is fun and very Avengers-y.

The way Steed works out....the thing he works out is perfect.
