Once again I love how the choices for audio commentaries go beyond the usual suspects to people who don't get a chance to chat about the show as much, and as such have new things to share. I shall look forward to Cyd and particularly Peter Wyngarde's contributions. Now that I've seen and loved Jason King I'm going to be watching his guest appearances with fresh eyes, and it's great he's come out of the woodwork to comment on his time on the show.
Great package all round--thanks to Jaz and Alan!

'Trims' are usually extra filmed footage, as far as I recall. Not necessarily extra scenes; more things along the lines of what happened before or after the shot was cut. As such, sometimes they feature extra lines; and sometimes they feature something going wrong, requiring another take!MRotten wrote:I'm curious about the "episode trims". What are these exactly?

These are little interview snippets recorded for and broadcast by the (now defunct) satellite channel Granada Plus. They were included on the Contender and Studio Canal DVDs as "Follow the Hat" previously. This time, they are being presented as separate items.Brendan Jones wrote:A fabulous sounding package, but what are these?jaz wrote: • Granada + points for each episode

These were uncovered by the Kaleidoscope organisation a couple of years back. They are alternate takes and have small overruns etc. Sadly, the accompanying audio track is still lost, so these are silent.Brendan Jones wrote:'Trims' are usually extra filmed footage, as far as I recall.
